Puja Satwani

Welcome.

I'm Puja, and I'm glad you're here.

Healing, in my experience, begins with connection. When we feel understood and not alone, we create the foundation from which growth can unfold. With more than 20 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in California, I’ve partnered with individuals, families, and organizations navigating change, crisis, and transition. At the heart of my work is the belief that people have an inherent capacity to grow—especially within relationships grounded in trust and cultural understanding.

My path to private practice in the Bay Area has been shaped by both my clinical leadership and my lived cross-cultural experience. As a bilingual therapist, I understand how culture, identity, and personal history influence the way we move through the world. In our work together, we’ll look at how these pieces of your story influence your life and relationships today - exploring the tension between inherited traditions and your personal truth, to help you navigate these influences with greater awareness and intention.

I integrate evidence-based practices, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness. Much of my early career was spent serving underserved populations impacted by complex trauma - an experience that taught me how to balance deep, thoughtful reflection with practical strategies. Today, I offer a collaborative, solution-focused space for adults to process their experiences and reconnect with themselves as they move through the highs, lows, and quiet in-betweens of life.

Outside the therapy room, I find grounding and inspiration in nature. Time outdoors reminds me that growth is rarely linear. Change unfolds in seasons, and stillness can be just as powerful as movement. That perspective shapes how I bring mindfulness into our work—helping you stay present and approach each chapter of your story with greater compassion and ease.

Whether you are seeking therapy for emotional healing or coaching for more goal-oriented support, my role is to walk alongside you. Together, we can find a path forward that feels steady, sustainable, and true to who you are.
